As a little girl, I nurtured baby dolls and set up a school to teach them, too. I followed my passion for children into my college career and became a teacher. I believe we are created to be ever changing, ever growing, and I soon realized that I longed to nurture the hearts of the children I was teaching in a deeper way. I entered a season at home with my son and daughter, now school-aged, during which compassion and empathy for moms, dads, and kids alike grew exponentially. I knew that the surest way to help kids was through their parents, those who love them most. With this realization, I sought my master’s degree from Trevecca and now am honored to serve children and their families and women coping with anxiety, depression, past issues, family related issues, and more.
When not with my clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, friends, reading, and walking outdoors. I set my sights on being at the beach each year as nothing seems to be more relaxing or centering than sitting at the edge of the ocean. I also serve on the board for Spring Hollow Preschool in Franklin and in the nursery at my church.
I am currently pursuing MFT licensure in Tennessee under the supervision of Amanda Grieme, PhD, LMFT-License #724. I hold a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and Bachelor’s degree with dual certification in elementary and special education.
I have completed the highest level of training in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) with Karyn Purvis and am a certified TBRI Educator. I completed Levels I & II of Theraplay and also have completed an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and am working towards EFT certification. I am also certified in the Prepare/Enrich Relationship Assessment for premarital couples.
